Congregation Kol Simchah is a Jewish family that celebrates the gift of life by reaching out to the Divine, our fellow human beings, and the delicate web of life in the world of nature. Our Jewish identity begins with each unique individual, and we build a better world together through prayer, study, observance and social action.

We share building space with St. Francis in the Foothills UMC, and partner with the greater religious, spiritual and peace communities to 'do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our Creator'.

Our services are on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of every month at 7:15 pm in Ravenscroft Hall

They are usually about 75 minutes in duration.

We play a lot of music and sing a lot of songs in our services.

Come join us!

Beginning on Friday, September 7th,

Loving Letters Writing Group

9:30 - 11:00 am in the Library for Peace

There are so many people in the world grappling with loneliness and sadness -

feelings we can all relate to.

This happened to Hannah Brencher. After moving to New York City, not knowing anyone, she found herself engulfed by depression. Unable to figure out how to get out of it, she began leaving letters with kind, loving, supportive messages around the city for unsuspecting people to find. These letters prompted her to write a blog post and offer a simple promise to the Internet: if you need a love letter, just ask.

Nearly 400 handwritten letters to strangers later, the idea for More Love Letters was born.
Hannah and some friends built a website and started delivering love letter bundles around the world. And the real magic began.

So come join what Hannah calls "the most unexpected movement"!

We will meet the first Friday of every month in the Library for Peace from 9:30 - 11:00 am.

Each month, we will have a list of people who are requesting love letters for someone in need. You can pick who you wish to write to, or write to all of them. Or you can write letters to strangers and leave them around town. Or you can ask the group to write letters to someone you know who could use them. The choices are endless!

We will provide stationary as well as materials to make your own cards if you'd like.

We will also have coffee, tea, water and breakfast goodies to enjoy as we create.

Come spread the love.

If you have any questions, please contact Melissa at 299-9063.
